Squad 5

 Squad 5 is essentially our tool box on wheels.  This truck is second out for motor vehicle accidents, following Engine 17.  It also responds on other calls as needed.  It carries a full set of extrication equipment, including hydraulic tools, air bags, high lift jacks, cribbing, and a winch capable of being used on all four sides of the truck.  Other equipment includes fans, various hand tools, oil dry, firefighting tools, portable generators, lighting, ice and water rescue equipment, gumby suits, stokes basket, ropes, and other miscellaneous equipment.  The truck also has a cascade system which is used to refill SCBA bottles on incident scenes.  This type of truck does not carry water, however, Squad 5 does have a 200 gallon water tank with an Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) pump system.  There is seating for seven personnel with six air packs.
