Engine 2 is our secondary engine, and is second out on fires, or first out if Engine 1 is already out on a call. It also is our designated mutual aid engine, which means it will respond to other fire districts if they request assistance. It is outfitted nearly identical to Engine 1, except it carries hydraulic extrication equipment. This is so that we are able to respond to extrication incidents in the event we are covering another departments station while they are on a large incident. Engine 2 has a 2000 gallon water tank, 1500 gallon per minute pump, and a 30 gallon foam cell. There is seating for six personnel with four air-pack seats.
