Engine 1

Engine 1 is first out on any structure fires, alarms, or vehicle fires involving larger vehicles.  It carries 1500 gallons of water, a 2000 gallon per minute pump, and a 40 gallon foam cell.  The front bumper has an ultra high pressure system with 200 feet of hose on a reel.  It has a full complement of firefighting equipment, portable fan, generator, lighting, cribbing, and ground ladders, among other equipment.  The pump control panel is inside the cab on this truck, just like the one on the previous Engine 1.  This helps keep our pump operator in a better position to see more of the scene as well as protected from the elements.  There is seating for six with five air-pack seats.
