ATV 1 is an Argo amphibious all terrain vehicle. It is all wheel drive with four wheels on each side. The Argo is very capable in adverse terrains, including wooded areas, marsh, and fields. The Argo can be used for wild land firefighting or victim rescue. There is a small skid unit with a 65 gallon water tank and trash pump as well as the ability to secure a stokes basket. There is a winch mounted to the front that may also be moved to the back if needed. The Argo is kept on a trailer and is generally pulled using Engine 17 when being used for wild land firefighting or Brush 8 if being used for rescue purposes.
ATV 2 is a 2021 John Deer ATV unit outfitted by International Automated Systems. On the back, there is a Kimtech skid unit capable of transporting a patient as well as an attendant. There is seating for four firefighters inside the cab. This ATV is primarily used for off-road rescue situations, and also used to assist with brush or wild fire situations also. ATV 2 is kept off of the trailer due to our close access to the Cam-Rock trail head, and can be easily secured on its trailer if it needs to be taken to a location further away. We have a set of tracks as well as standard wheels for this unit.
